These Terms of Use govern access to CalcES Scientific Calculator and explain acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers, service availability, and limits of liability.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of CalcES Scientific Calculator ("CalcES", "the Service", "we", "our", or "us"), operated by TERA RESEARCH LAB CO., LTD. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

About the Service

CalcES is a web-based scientific calculator and graphing calculator designed for educational, engineering, mathematical, and general productivity use. Some features rely on server-side APIs, OCR/image processing, browser storage, caching, and third-party libraries to function.

Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only in a lawful and responsible manner. You must not:

  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users;
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or protected endpoints;
  • use bots, scripts, or abusive traffic patterns in a way that harms availability or stability;
  • upload unlawful, harmful, malicious, or infringing material;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service in violation of applicable law;
  • use the Service for activities that create legal, security, or operational risk for us or others.

We may suspend, restrict, or block access where we reasonably believe misuse, abuse, or unlawful activity has occurred.

Calculations, OCR, and Accuracy Disclaimer

CalcES is provided for convenience and productivity. While we aim to provide accurate calculations and OCR results, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

You are responsible for independently verifying all results before relying on them for:

  • exams or graded assessments where independent verification is required;
  • engineering, medical, scientific, legal, or financial decisions;
  • safety-critical, compliance-critical, or mission-critical work.

We do not guarantee that calculations, conversions, OCR extraction, graphing output, or formatting results will always be complete, error-free, or suitable for your specific purpose.

User Content and Uploaded Materials

You retain responsibility for content you submit through the Service, including mathematical expressions, graph inputs, and uploaded images. You represent that you have the right to submit that content and that doing so does not violate law or third-party rights.

To operate the Service, you grant us a limited right to process submitted content as necessary to provide requested functionality, such as calculation, OCR conversion, caching, debugging, and security review.

Local Storage, Caching, and Analytics

The Service may store settings, history, variables, layout preferences, and cached data in your browser. Depending on deployment configuration, analytics and tag-management tools may also be used to measure usage and improve the Service. Intellectual Property

The CalcES application, including its design, branding, code, layout, content structure, and original product elements, is owned by TERA RESEARCH LAB CO., LTD or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the Service for personal, educational, internal, or other lawful purposes, but you may not copy, redistribute, rehost, resell, or create derivative commercial offerings from protected parts of the Service except as allowed by law or with prior written permission.

Third-Party Software and Services

The Service incorporates open-source libraries, bundled dependencies, and third-party services. Their use may be subject to their own licenses or terms. Third-party brand names or trademarks mentioned in the Service remain the property of their respective owners.

CalcES is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by calculator hardware manufacturers or unrelated third-party brands unless expressly stated otherwise.

Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, including APIs, OCR tools, graphing features, localization, visual design, or legal content.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention of user data, or continued support for any specific browser, device, locale, or integration.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, liability will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TERA RESEARCH LAB CO., LTD and its related parties from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these Terms.
