Implicit Graphing

What is implicit graphing

CalcES Scientific Calculator is a powerful feature that allows you to visualize equations that are not explicitly solved for one variable. Unlike explicit functions where y is defined explicitly in terms of x (e.g., y = f(x)), implicit functions are represented as equations involving both x and y without explicitly solving for either variable (e.g., x2+y2=1 for a circle)

Implicit graph example

The ellipse equation: x2+2y2+4x+6y=5

the ellipse x^2 + 2y^2 + 4x + 6y = 5
